Any applications received and approved after 12/18 will not be processed until the university reopens after winter break on 1/4. If you apply for and are approved for an emergency loan for January rent and have completed the promissory note by 12/18, you will receive funds via direct deposit on or around 12/23.
Emergency loans will only be approved if you will receive enough financial aid to first cover university charges. If that is not the case, you may need to apply for an emergency loan until you can receive your spring financial aid. Our hope is that your landlord will take into consideration this information to grant you an extension. You can provide this letter and your official printable PDF award letter found in your ConnectCarolina Student Center (under the Student Finances heading from the drop-down menu) to request an extension due to financial aid being your resource for payment.
